The area is steeped in history, smuggling was a major income
for some of the locals in a bygone age and
wreckers lured unwary captains onto the rocks.

many of the engine houses still dot the landscape. |
The Heritage Centre and Shipwreck museum is located in the
village a stone's-throw from the guest house.
